for Rilla and many others.
Rilla lives in a house with two roommates. They each have a bedroom and share a kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom. Rilla and her roommates have fun together and love attending community events.
Because of disabilities, Rilla and her roommates live on a strict budget. The cost of housing in the area places a strain on Rilla's income so when the electric bill is higher than usual or the cost of groceries increases, a great financial burden is placed on her and her roommates just to meet their basic needs. $10,000 will help to provide management and oversight of her home as well as help with rent, food, incidentals, utilities, vehicle expenses and transportation costs for a year.
You can help alleviate these burdens with a monthly gift and help Rilla, and others like her, sustain not just a house, but sustain a home, her home. Will you consider Adopting A Home and helping supplement the cost of maintaining her home along with other deserving adults who receive services from Prospect?
People with disabilities live in poverty at more than twice the rate of people without disabilities.
